Staff Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design and take ownership of sophisticated modeling strategies within the domains of fraud and abuse.

• Set and uphold model quality standards that consider adversarial dynamics.

• Drive statistical innovation to tackle the most impactful fraud challenges.

• Collaborate with ML engineering and information security teams to enhance adversarial resilience.

• Create automated workflows that scale human expertise while addressing the complexities of fraud.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical modeling experience with accountability in production.

• Extensive, hands-on understanding of fraud and information security trends.

• In-depth knowledge of various modeling techniques: Tree-based methods (XGBoost, LightGBM), deep learning frameworks (CNNs, RNNs, transformers), and graph-based approaches.

• Advanced degree in Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with AI-assisted automation tools.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous and adversarial situations.
