Staff Data Engineer – Financial Data Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Finance, Product, Data Science, Analytics, and specialists in the Insurance sector to define the strategy for the upcoming quarters.

• Recognize and promote critical technical projects that enhance the effectiveness of our products, systems, and teams.

• Mentor and guide engineers within your team in designing experiments and initiatives that align with our strategic goals.

• Contribute code during each development cycle to amplify the team's impact.

• Set a precedent in incident response, ensuring we take proactive measures to continuously enhance the resilience of our systems.

• Work alongside Staff Engineers throughout the organization to establish and advocate for standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience as a software engineer.

• Proficient in Python, Terraform, SQL, and Spark.

• Experienced in developing large-scale finance, payments, and commissions systems.

• Strong knowledge of Cloud Architecture, preferably AWS.

• Demonstrated leadership of projects that span multiple teams across various functional areas.

• Exceptional communication skills, both with engineering peers and senior business executives.
