Staff Backend Engineer – Grafana App Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Developing new features, enhancing the operational experience of the systems you create, and continuously improving them based on insights from production.

• Writing, contributing to, and reviewing design documentation.

• Actively participating in shaping the project roadmap.

• Mentoring and assisting fellow team members while collaborating with various teams across the organization.

• Taking ownership of our customers' experiences by engaging in weekday on-call rotations of 12 hours for 5 days and a separate weekend on-call rotation of 24 hours for 2 days.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess strong coding abilities and operational experience; you have been responsible for managing the software you have developed.

• You have experience working on a SaaS platform and have addressed common distributed systems challenges (such as scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, and high availability).

• You have outstanding communication skills, able to articulate your ideas clearly in writing and during discussions. You know when to utilize different communication methods.

• You are open to collaborating across teams, ensuring your work aligns with the needs of other groups and external stakeholders. You make your plans transparent, engage stakeholders, and welcome feedback and suggestions.

• You are pragmatic, prioritizing progress over perfection, and are capable of navigating ambiguity.

• Our backend is powered by Golang; you are either already acquainted with Golang or eager to learn the language.
