Staff Backend Engineer – Grafana App Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Developing new features, enhancing the operational experience of the systems you create, and continuously improving them based on insights from production.

• Writing, contributing to, and reviewing design documentation.

• Actively participating in shaping the project roadmap.

• Mentoring and supporting fellow team members while collaborating with various teams throughout the organization.

• Taking ownership of our customers' experience by engaging in weekday on-call rotations of 12 hours for 5 days, as well as a separate weekend on-call rotation of 24 hours for 2 days.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess strong coding abilities and operational experience; you have been responsible for the software you have developed.

• You have experience working on a SaaS platform and have addressed common distributed systems challenges (e.g., scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, high availability, etc.).

• You demonstrate excellent communication skills, articulating your ideas with clarity both in writing and during meetings. You know when to choose the appropriate mode of communication.

• You are open to collaborating across teams. Your work must align with the needs of other squads and external stakeholders. You ensure transparency in your plans, involve stakeholders, and welcome feedback and suggestions.

• You take a pragmatic approach, prioritizing progress over perfection and are comfortable managing ambiguity.

• Our backend is developed in Golang; you should either be familiar with Golang or eager to learn the language.
