Staff Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Review, modify, and oversee contracts related to U.S. operations.

• Provide guidance and support on compliance matters.

• Draft and uphold internal policies and procedures for U.S. operations.

• Monitor and ensure adherence to U.S. tax regulations.

• Supervise compliance with employment law and HR legal issues in the Philippines.

• Manage business registrations and regulatory submissions for operations in the Philippines.

• Ensure compliance with tax obligations and accurate reporting for corporate and employment taxes in the Philippines.

• Draft and maintain internal policies specific to the Philippines business unit.

• Conduct internal investigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and an active license to practice law in the Philippines.

• Reside in the Philippines with availability for night shift work hours (to align with the U.S. team).

• Background or formal education in U.S. law is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of U.S. tax, compliance, employment, and/or business law is advantageous.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in recognizing and addressing legal challenges.

• Capability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team based in the U.S.

• A strong commitment to ethical, mission-driven legal practices.
