This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Oversee and manage client cases throughout the entirety of litigation, including the stages of intake, discovery, trial preparation, and resolution.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, offering updates on case developments and addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys to draft legal documents, gather and organize evidence, and formulate case strategies.
• Track and ensure compliance with court deadlines, statutes of limitations, and internal schedules.
• Aid in the preparation of discovery responses and various legal pleadings.
• Keep organized case files, ensuring that all documentation is thorough and accurate.
• Facilitate communication among clients, experts, and other stakeholders, guaranteeing that essential information is collected and shared in a timely manner.
• Conduct research to identify relevant case law, statutes, and regulations that support the case strategy.
• Assist in trial preparation, which includes organizing exhibits, creating witness lists, and compiling trial binders.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a legal setting.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills, emphasizing client service.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
