Staff Android Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Contribute to projects involving Android Mobile Applications, taking on the responsibility of designing, building, and delivering medical-grade mobile applications and SDKs, primarily utilizing Java and Kotlin.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications leveraging Java, Kotlin, and KMM.

• Work closely with various technology and cross-functional teams both within and outside the organization to define, design, develop, test, and deploy new capabilities and features.

• Collaborate with senior developers to design and build the next generation of mobile application cloud-based platforms that will support future patient/device-centric products and applications.

• Present straightforward design proposals to stakeholders and positively accept comments, suggestions, and constructive feedback with managerial support.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

• Troubleshoot and debug applications to enhance performance.

• Engage in code reviews and participate in team knowledge sharing.

• Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our mobile application solutions remain relevant and competitive.

• Perform additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in Native Android development; proven expertise in Android development using Java and/or Kotlin.

• Demonstrated proficiency in creating solutions and platforms that utilize wireless communications and Mobile Application technologies.

• Ability to swiftly learn new technologies and collaborate effectively with others to develop proofs of concept/prototypes.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate, with experience working in cross-functional technical teams.

• Familiarity with mobile apps or cloud app software development tools.
