Staff AI Product Builder, Data Engineering

Posted Jun 20

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver "virtual employee" workflows that perform genuine tasks prior to human involvement: conducting research, verification, prioritization, deduplication, and preparing artifacts that reference evidence and highlight unknowns.

• Develop the data frameworks that enable AI to integrate longitudinal operational signals across various domains (customers, prospects, interactions, transcripts, product, operations, billing, support) into dependable workflows. Construct evidence-based pipelines that yield structured outputs with provenance and uncertainty management, while preserving artifacts instead of overwriting truths.

• Establish a robust job execution system for agent workflows, incorporating retries, explicit budgets, idempotency, and monitoring.

• Create common abstractions for AI and data systems: tool interfaces, logging, cost tracking, evaluation harnesses, data contracts, SLAs, and reusable workflow components that enhance trust in both data and AI outcomes.

• Collaborate with internal teams as stakeholders. Identify success metrics together, design workflow delivery interfaces, and adapt based on adoption and impact.

• Exemplify leadership in AI-enhanced engineering, utilizing AI tools to boost velocity while upholding architectural integrity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional engineering experience with clear ownership of production systems from design documentation through launch and iterations.

• A proven history of deploying AI-driven workflows to production with measurable outcomes, including hands-on experience with LLM tool usage, retrieval patterns, evaluation, and monitoring.

• Experience in operating AI systems in production: evaluation harnesses, rollout strategies, and monitoring that connects system health to output quality.

• Background in designing data platforms for operational scenarios: canonical models, identity resolution and deduplication, and governance patterns that ensure safe downstream consumption.

• Expertise in designing reliable workflow systems: job orchestration, backfills and retries, observability, and cost/performance trade-offs.

• Proven ability to influence technical strategy across different organizational boundaries.

🏝️ Benefits

• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage

• Generous paid parental leave

• Flexible PTO so you can recharge when you need it

• Local retirement or savings plans (e.g., 401(k) in the U.S.)
