This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design and implement scalable ETL and data pipelines that integrate ClickHouse, Postgres, Athena, and various cloud-native sources to facilitate real-time risk management and advanced analytics for AI-driven decision-making.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain distributed data storage solutions to guarantee high performance (low latency, high throughput) and reliability at scale—supporting essential models for fraud detection and compliance.
• Lead schema evolution, data modeling, and advanced optimizations for both analytical and operational databases, including sharding, partitioning, and pipeline orchestration (batch, streaming, CDC frameworks).
• Manage the complete data flow: integrate various internal and external data sources, enforce data validation and lineage, and automate and monitor workflow reliability (CI/CD for data, anomaly detection, etc.).
• Work collaboratively across teams with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to create secure, scalable solutions that facilitate rapid experimentation and robust operationalization of new ML/AI models.
• Promote a culture of radical ownership—identify opportunities for improvement, propose enhancements, and implement innovative technical and process solutions within a dynamic, remote-first environment.
• Mentor and develop team members, foster a learning culture, and contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven atmosphere.
• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering (or equivalent), including the architecture and management of production ETL/ELT pipelines for real-time, high-volume analytic platforms.
• Extensive expertise with ClickHouse, Postgres, Athena, and distributed data systems (Kafka, cloud-native stores); demonstrated experience in both batch and streaming pipeline design.
• Proficient in Python and SQL programming, with additional skills in Java being a plus.
• Strong knowledge of workflow orchestration (Airflow, Step Functions), CI/CD, and automated data testing.
• Experience in high-scale, low-latency environments, with a solid understanding of security, privacy, and compliance needs for financial-grade platforms.
• Excellent communication, business alignment, and documentation skills—capable of translating complex technical concepts into actionable value for customers and stakeholders.
