Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Support the accurate and timely closing of monthly financial statements, including preparation and variance analysis.

• Compile and analyze account information to prepare and record journal entries for assets, liabilities, and expenses.

• Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations and address any discrepancies.

• Aid in external audits and tax reporting by gathering data and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of scalable internal controls.

• Assist with bank reconciliations, bank deposits, sales tax calculations and payments, as well as accounts payable tasks.

• Support business registration and ensure tax compliance.

• Foster professionalism, teamwork, outstanding customer service, and prompt responses to urgent business requirements.

• Complete additional accounting projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience within a high-growth business environment.

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline.

• CPA license is preferred.

• Strong comprehension of GAAP principles, financial reporting, full-cycle accounting, and month-end closing processes.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities and the capability to meet tight deadlines.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work autonomously, deliver on commitments, prioritize various projects, and excel in a fast-paced setting.

• Familiarity with accounting software platforms.

• Preferred experience in SaaS.
