This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Support and maintain essential infrastructure systems with a strong expertise in Linux (Debian/Ubuntu preferred).
• Engage with low-level hardware: BIOS, IPMI, RAID configurations, and hardware diagnostics are within your skill set.
• Design and oversee scalable networks utilizing VLANs, L2/L3 routing, VPNs, and particularly UniFi equipment.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using Ansible, Bash/Python, and Git-centric workflows.
• Establish and manage observability stacks, incorporating Prometheus/Grafana for metrics and Graylog, ELK, or Loki for log aggregation.
• Develop tools for server discovery, configuration auto-generation, automated operating system installations, PXE/Preseed/Cloud-init, and efficient MAAS provisioning.
• Integrate and/or create internal APIs to monitor compute and GPU resource allocation, as well as external APIs (billing, monitoring, OpenStack, etc.).
• Implement and maintain virtualization and orchestration systems such as OpenStack (preferably with Kolla-Ansible), Proxmox VE, or VMware ESXi.
• Provide support for container-based workloads and effectively isolate services.
• Advanced Linux administration skills (preferably Debian/Ubuntu).
• Extensive experience with MAAS / Ironic / bare-metal automation (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of networking principles: VLANs, routing, VPNs.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Ansible), scripting (Bash/Python), and GitOps methodologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Graylog.
• Comfort with custom deployment automation techniques (PXE, Preseed, MAAS/Ironic).
• Knowledge of resource tracking, API integrations, and dashboard creation.
• Demonstrated experience with OpenStack, Proxmox, VMware, and container orchestration technologies.
