Sportsbook Risk Trader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Monitor the ticker for significant activity and escalate as necessary

• Conduct retrospective risk reports and update the CRS with detailed notes for patrons

• Address grading/settlement issues, over ask situations, and customer support inquiries

• Assist with various tasks across different teams

• Provide mentorship to Associate Traders, offering clear guidance on best risk practices

• Manage betting limits and market restrictions according to customer type or segment

• Analyze the profitability and behavior of players at an individual level

• Modify limits, voids, or restrictions based on current data

• Work with Fraud and Trading teams to monitor for suspicious activities

⛳️ Requirements

• Passionate about sports with a comprehensive understanding of sports betting and a genuine interest in betting and odds

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities

• At least 1+ years of experience in a trading environment (preferred but not mandatory)

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) or equivalent in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Engineering, or Sciences

• Highly data-driven with excellent mathematical abilities

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

• Capable of multitasking and performing effectively under pressure

• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to make quick, informed decisions

• Strong attention to detail and dedication to accuracy

• Excellent time management abilities

• Quick learner, able to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team

• Rapidly adaptable to new technologies

• Strong initiative and an exceptional work ethic

• Ability to work remotely

• Willingness to work regular evenings and weekends
