This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Deliver virtual speech therapy to K-12 students enrolled in Connections Academy's online public schools.
• Engage with students using webcams and web conferencing tools.
• Utilize the company’s online Education Management System to oversee the caseload.
• Offer speech-language services and aid in program execution.
• Design and execute individual and group therapy sessions in a virtual setting.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures specific to the assigned school and state for LiveSpeech services.
• Foster collaborative relationships with the LiveSpeech team, schools, and programs.
• Review reports to ensure compliance standards are met.
• Maintain communication with leadership and school personnel.
• Document therapeutic interventions and prepare progress reports.
• Meet biweekly with the supervisor.
• Conduct screenings and both formal and informal evaluations of students’ communication requirements.
• Liaise with parents, learning coaches, and special education staff regarding IEP goals and student needs.
• Consult with teachers and coordinate specially designed instruction outlined in IEPs.
• Manage special education cases for specific students whose only requirement is speech therapy.
• Schedule, organize, and facilitate virtual IEP-related meetings as necessary.
• Assist with documentation, paperwork, and procedures pertaining to the IEP process.
• Maintain accurate records in the Education Management System and special education software.
• Comply with data protection and security regulations as well as company policies.
• Obtain and uphold necessary licenses and clearances.
• Complete mandatory professional development, training, and CEU courses.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• MA or MS in Speech Language Pathology.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
• Active and valid state and/or Department of Education licensure in Speech Pathology in the state of residence.
• Capability to acquire and maintain multiple required state certifications and clearances.
• 2+ years of experience in a K-12 school environment.
• Proficient technology skills.
• High level of flexibility and capacity to work independently.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in using a personal electronic device and email for two-step authentication.
