This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Oversee assigned territory and targeted accounts to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address customer needs, prioritizing patients in all initiatives.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Prepare pre-call plans and conduct evaluations after sales calls.
• Manage objections and secure calls to action during sales interactions.
• Formulate and execute call strategies to maximize customer engagement and sales opportunities.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales expertise.
• Communicate market intelligence to field, brand, and sales teams.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates/speakers.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• If not holding a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five (5) years of experience, including three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to adjust selling techniques to match customer styles and behaviors.
• Competence in developing sales strategies and innovative solutions.
• Effectiveness in a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching.
• Proven track record of success in leadership/support roles with increasing responsibility.
• Preferable experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry, which includes physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Must fulfill applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing or eligible to obtain necessary credentials.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must comply with safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
