This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Implement brand strategy and sales tactics in the field.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster customer relationships and assess customer needs.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Develop pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluations.
• Address objections and secure calls to action during sales interactions.
• Create and execute call plans to enhance customer coverage and sales potentials.
• Evaluate customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical data, and sales intelligence.
• Communicate market intelligence with field, brand, and sales teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, develop, and sustain disease-state experts and advocates.
• Operate in accordance with AbbVie’s code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• Relevant equivalent industry experience is required in place of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years, with three or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is a must.
• Extensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency in business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to tailor selling approaches to different customer styles and behaviors.
• Proven track record of sales success and excellent presentation skills.
• Competence in operating effectively within a matrix organization.
• Ability to devise innovative solutions and maximize business opportunities.
• Documented leadership and successful support at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Preferred pharmaceutical commercial experience, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to meet HCIR credentialing requirements, including potential background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, fingerprinting, and specific licenses.
• Good standing and/or eligibility to secure necessary HCIR credentials.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Capable of meeting safe driving requirements.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Must reside within a reasonable distance from Kansas City, Missouri.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
