This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations.
• Address objections and secure calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs and cultivate trustworthy customer relationships.
• Create and execute call plans to maximize customer coverage, frequency, access, and sales opportunities.
• Gather market, competitor, account, disease, product, clinical, and sales intelligence, sharing insights with field, brand, and sales teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Travel to cover the territory and participate in scheduled training events and sales meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience can substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred three (3) or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry.
• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Demonstrated success in sales is essential.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
• Proven success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibilities.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Ability to travel adequately to cover the territory and attend overnight training events and sales meetings.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials, which may involve background checks, drug screens, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, fingerprinting, and relevant state or city licenses.
