This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics within the designated territory.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies using SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections and initiate calls to action to finalize sales discussions.
• Fulfill customer requirements and cultivate trustworthy relationships.
• Formulate and execute calling strategies to enhance customer coverage, frequency, access, and sales potential.
• Gather and disseminate market intelligence on customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Collaborate with in-field colleagues, sales leadership, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience.
• If a bachelor’s degree is not held: a minimum of five years of experience, including at least three years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Proven success record in sales is essential.
• Strong presentation skills are necessary.
• Capability to assess customer style and behavior and adjust sales tactics accordingly.
• Aptitude for developing innovative solutions and maximizing business potential.
• Leadership and support experience at the district, regional, or organizational levels are required.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Demonstrated knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools are essential.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Must be able to operate a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and comply with safe-driving standards.
