This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to successfully close sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs and foster trustworthy customer relationships.
• Create and execute call plans to enhance customer coverage and sales opportunities.
• Acquire knowledge about customer needs, territory market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales practices.
• Disseminate market intelligence to the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of five years of relevant and comparable industry experience is required, including three or more years preferably in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors.
• High school diploma/GED is mandatory.
• Proven history of sales achievements.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Capability to adjust selling techniques to align with customer styles and behaviors.
• Ability to devise innovative solutions and capitalize on business opportunities.
• Leadership and support experience at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Demonstrated comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe-driving criteria.
