Spanish OP/VRI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Possess knowledge of specialized vocabulary related to the healthcare and medical fields.

• Deliver all messages with precision and completeness, without adding, omitting, or altering any information.

• Ensure the highest standard of customer service during interpretation.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and thorough interpretations of messages.

• Uphold established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Spanish."

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• High school diploma in your native language.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical interpretation.

• Possession of an English Language Proficiency Certificate.

• Hold a HIPAA acknowledgment Certificate.

• At least 3 years of experience in legal interpretation (Evidence of interpretation experience can include a resume/CV with references or an employer reference letter).
