Spanish Interpreter, Experienced

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• We are looking for a talented and motivated English-Spanish Interpreter to become a part of our fully remote team in Latin America.

• This role initially focuses on Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI), with a clear pathway for advancement into Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).

• Your main responsibility will be to deliver precise, consecutive interpretation primarily in medical environments, while also facilitating essential communication in social services and financial settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation is required.

• English Proficiency: Must possess at least C1 fluency. We accept valid certifications such as EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE.

• Medical Interpretation Certification: You are required to provide proof of medical interpreter knowledge obtained within the last 12 months.

• Accepted certifications include: ALTA Spanish fluency with a minimum score of 9, and LanguageStat (PICSI) with a passing score of 75–80%.

• Core Skills: Complete mastery of medical and customer service terminology is essential.

• Compliance: You must currently hold, or be willing to acquire, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Background Check: You must be willing to successfully complete a standard background check via email.
