📋 Description

• Collaborating with the Account Executive to gain a comprehensive understanding of the prospect's technical environment, challenges with Cloud Data Platform costs, optimization objectives, and key business goals through thorough technical discovery sessions.

• Taking ownership of the technical validation and Proof of Value (POV) initiatives for SELECT, which includes meticulous preparation for POCs, proactive management, and ensuring successful technical outcomes that clearly demonstrate value and alignment with prospect needs.

• Customizing and presenting engaging demonstrations of the SELECT platform to prospects, effectively highlighting its features and addressing their specific use cases and concerns.

• Utilizing analytical skills and extensive knowledge of Cloud Data Platforms to create compelling business cases and comprehensive ROI analyses that clearly outline the tangible value, cost savings, and performance enhancements achievable with SELECT.

• Becoming the primary expert within the organization for SELECT, ensuring prospects attain optimal results and a smooth implementation process.

• Taking full responsibility for securing technical wins during SELECT engagements, guiding prospects through the technical evaluation, addressing all technical requirements, and instilling confidence in the solution.

• Representing DoiT and SELECT at company events and industry conferences, delivering captivating presentations and demonstrations to a larger audience while showcasing our expertise in Snowflake/Databricks (and soon BigQuery) optimization as well as platform functionalities.

• Converting customer pain points and feature gaps into organized, technically credible feedback for R&D teams, representing the technical customer's perspective during roadmap discussions.

• Ensuring timely data entry into internal business support systems and contributing to tools that provide essential business information and metrics to highlight performance and effectiveness.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Solutions Engineering role within a B2B SaaS software company, with a significant portion of that experience focused on selling to Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery users, and directly addressing challenges related to Cloud Data Platforms or cloud cost management.

• A deep and demonstrable understanding of Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, along with associated best practices.

• Hands-on experience with SaaS solutions that focus on Cloud Data Platforms in the realms of observability, optimization, FinOps, or data integration.

• Exceptional data analysis abilities, with a proven track record of identifying key trends, outliers, and correlations, and translating those findings into actionable insights.

• A strong history of leveraging product data to build compelling business cases and ROI justifications for potential customers, clearly demonstrating the significant cost savings and performance improvements achievable through our solution.

• An exceptional ability to explain complex Cloud Data Platform concepts and SELECT functionalities in a clear, concise, and easily digestible manner for both technical and business audiences.

• Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the confidence and expertise to discuss sophisticated topics such as Cloud Data Platform optimization strategies and the compelling value proposition of SELECT.

• Strong intellectual curiosity, exceptional problem-solving capabilities, and a genuine passion for continuous learning and improvement within the ever-evolving Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery ecosystem.

• Proven experience engaging with and presenting to executive-level prospects and customers on critical topics related to Cloud Data Platforms, particularly cost management.

• Demonstrated experience with contemporary technical selling best practices/methodologies and a successful history in competitive sales environments, including the capacity to contribute to and implement effective trial, demo, and RFP processes specifically tailored for Cloud Data Platform optimization solutions like SELECT.

• Prior professional experience as a Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery data engineer/architect or FinOps professional is a plus.

• A proven record of success in a fast-paced and scaling business, ideally within the Cloud Data Platform ecosystem.
