This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise daily inspection activities across various markets
• Guarantee that projects are ready for inspection by AHJs and utility authorities
• Oversee inspection timelines, schedules, and project milestones
• Detect and address issues that may hinder inspections or project completion
• Organize correction activities and reinspections
• Lead, mentor, and develop inspection schedulers, technicians, and support staff
• Set performance standards and ensure departmental accountability
• Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate employee development
• Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
• Track inspection pass rates and identify trends that necessitate operational enhancements
• Create and enforce quality control standards to boost inspection success
• Define and monitor KPIs related to inspection outcomes, cycle times, and operational efficiency
• Evaluate inspection documentation for thoroughness and precision
• Ensure adherence to company policies, AHJ regulations, and utility guidelines
• Collaborate with permitting, scheduling, installation, electrical, service, engineering, and sales teams to ensure project continuity
• Communicate with AHJs, inspectors, municipalities, and utility providers as required
• Assist executive leadership with operational reporting and performance analysis
• Suggest process enhancements that promote efficiency and scalability
• Prior experience in residential solar inspections is mandatory
• Leadership or management experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of residential solar construction, permitting, inspections, and project workflows
• Experience interacting with AHJs, inspectors, and utility providers
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Professional communication and leadership skills
• Familiarity with CRMs, scheduling tools, and operational software
• Strong analytical abilities to track and enhance KPIs
• Preferred: Background as an Inspection Manager or Operations Manager
• Preferred: Experience in electrical work, permitting, or quality control
• Preferred: NABCEP certification
• Preferred: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Preferred: Experience in supporting multi-state solar operations
