Software Test Engineer, Cypress

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Grasp business and functional requirements to develop efficient test strategies and test cases.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing for web-based applications.

• Execute both manual and automated test cases to verify application functionality and performance.

• Identify, document, track, and report defects using defect management tools.

• Collaborate with development teams to replicate issues and confirm fixes.

• Engage in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and daily stand-up meetings within Agile environments.

• Aid in the upkeep of test documentation, test reports, and quality metrics.

• Contribute to automation testing initiatives utilizing Cypress where applicable.

• Ensure that software releases align with quality standards and user expectations.

• Commit to continuous learning and the adoption of modern QA tools, frameworks, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

• Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.

• Knowledge of manual testing principles including functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.

• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management software.

• Basic understanding of API testing and database validation is advantageous.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

• Capacity to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities efficiently.

• Practical experience with Cypress automation testing.

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript for writing and maintaining automation scripts.

• Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies.

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows is a plus.
