Software Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct testing on products prior to their market release.

• Participate in the entire software lifecycle, offering insights from your unique QA perspective.

• Collaborate with colleagues from diverse nationalities to share ideas and provide valuable feedback on feature implementation and testing methodologies.

• Develop test plans and engage in risk analysis for both the product and the project.

• Design and compose test cases to evaluate (and potentially break) the product.

• Employ various testing methodologies (including static testing, black-box testing, exploratory testing, etc.) to ensure product quality.

• Develop and execute test automation scripts based on manual test cases.

• Suggest and implement new practices and processes aimed at enhancing overall test and product quality.

• Strategize and implement policies to incorporate test automation into the project build process.

• Propose software enhancements to improve user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of the QA process, with a minimum of 4 years of experience as a test engineer, including at least 3 years in automation testing.

• Proficient in creating test cases using programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Java.

• Experienced with test automation tools including Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, and Pytest.

• Background in test planning, test case development, and test execution.

• Experience in UI testing, preferably with mobile and/or web applications.

• Familiarity with testing applications in Docker environments and utilizing Git-based version control systems.

• Background in Scrum or other iterative software development methodologies.

• Able and willing to collaborate as a team member across multiple Scrum projects simultaneously.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Previous experience in a leadership role overseeing a team of testers (senior).

• Willingness and ability to mentor less experienced testers in testing methodologies and practices (senior).

• Strong interpersonal and English communication skills.
