Software QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee quality assurance initiatives for Hypershield’s management plane

• Verify the orchestration, administration, and enforcement of customer security assets

• Evaluate network event integration, AI engine performance, logging, and storage capabilities

• Develop and implement strategic testing methodologies

• Detect negative trends and software issues prior to production

• Work closely with developers and program leads to establish comprehensive DevTest strategies

• Foster transparency and enhance product quality throughout the development lifecycle

• Connect technical software behavior with operational excellence to facilitate the delivery of security solutions

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years, or a PhD with no prior experience

• Proven experience in testing SaaS or distributed applications within cloud environments

• Familiarity with API and end-to-end testing

• Proficient programming skills in Go, TypeScript, or Python

• Experience in designing and executing manual test cases

• Background in developing automated tests using Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks

• Proficiency in working with and troubleshooting Linux environments

• Understanding of networking and security fundamentals

• Preferred: accountability for major quality components of a product

• Preferred: practical experience with AWS or other public cloud infrastructures regarding deployment, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

• Preferred: experience with firewall policies and security testing

• Preferred: experience in container or Kubernetes environments

• Preferred: experience collaborating as part of a remote or distributed team
