Software Engineering Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of cloud integration features including queue splitting and database branching.

• Remain actively engaged and contribute to the codebase.

• Collaborate with Kubernetes, cloud services, database systems, message brokers, and various other tools and platforms.

• Establish the technical direction for the team while upholding high engineering standards.

• Promote the effective utilization of AI throughout the team.

• Assist in prioritizing tasks, removing obstacles for engineers, and driving the execution of the roadmap.

• Recruit and mentor engineers as the team expands.

• Collaborate with Product, Solution Engineering, and users to foster adoption and growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in leading engineering teams.

• At least 4 years of professional experience developing production-grade code in Rust, C++, or C.

• Strong communication skills.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.

• Proficient in systems-level thinking.

• Capability to debug intricate, distributed environments.

• Comfortable working asynchronously in a remote-first, startup setting.

• Nice to have: Experience in building developer tools.

• Nice to have: Experience with developing Kubernetes operators or other components that interact with the Kubernetes API.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of backend infrastructure tools such as data stores, message brokers, and GitOps tools.
