Software Engineering Specialist – Applied AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Execute and evaluate experiments, sharing findings with an emphasis on effectively implementing validated tools and processes throughout the organization.

• Investigate and create tools, automations, and processes that incorporate AI models for a variety of tasks, including data analysis, design, and software development.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within the organization to define and launch new features.

• Define and shape technical decisions related to the application of AI technologies at iFood.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capacity to work swiftly and address technical, ambiguous challenges.

• Background in software engineering, including the development of backend distributed systems and APIs within large-scale, secure, and scalable architectures.

• Knowledge of authorization, authentication, AI security, and access control.

• Technical expertise in AI/ML, particularly with large language models (LLMs).

• Experience in establishing cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS).

• Proficiency in Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or comparable programming languages.

• Familiarity with employing AI coding agents to program and effectively tackle complex problems (e.g., Claude Code).

• Understanding and experience in developing software that integrates with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI API), including AI agents, MCPs, RAGs, and other ML model integrations.

• Acquaintance with the scientific method, experimental design, and data analysis.
