Software Engineer – Platform Productivity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain the Internal Engineering Platform (IEP).

• Oversee and enhance CI/CD platforms.

• Streamline build, release, and deployment workflows.

• Create tools for application configuration management.

• Automate software updates and maintenance.

• Manage software artefacts.

• Collaborate with application development, security, and other internal teams to fulfill their needs.

• Engage in an on-call rotation to support Platform tooling.

• Establish and contribute to the squad's roadmap.

• Design, evaluate, and select suitable technical solutions.

• Assist in maintaining, enhancing, extending, and decommissioning systems as needed.

• Innovate next-generation CI/CD systems, automation runner infrastructure, artefact management, security automation, and AI-driven internal support tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in engineering or software development within a Platform team that delivers services to internal engineering groups.

• Familiarity with cloud environments.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Crossplane.

• Understanding of Kubernetes administration.

• Experience or interest in the implementation, integration, and upkeep of observability systems and processes.

• Comfortable with a remote-first work environment.

• Experience in operating code.

• Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Flexibility with programming languages and tools, particularly Go and shell scripting.

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
