This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Develop and sustain mobile applications for both **iOS (Swift)** and **Android (Kotlin)** platforms.
• Take ownership of features from inception to completion: including technical design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Work closely with Product and Design teams to create intuitive and high-quality user experiences.
• Integrate with backend APIs and play a role in defining API contracts tailored for mobile applications.
• Implement and manage push notification systems (for instance, APNs, FCM).
• Ensure that mobile applications are performant, reliable, and responsive in a production environment.
• Contribute to architectural decisions regarding mobile platform strategy, including native vs cross-platform considerations and shared patterns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using logs, monitoring tools, and user feedback.
• Engage in code reviews and help uphold high standards for code quality and maintainability.
• Employ modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding to enhance velocity and quality.
• Extensive experience in developing and deploying mobile applications on **iOS and/or Android**.
• Proficiency in **Swift** and/or **Kotlin**, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in both.
• Experience in integrating with REST APIs and managing authentication processes (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
• A solid grasp of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM and clean architecture.
• Experience with push notifications, background processing, and the specific constraints of mobile platforms.
• Comfort in navigating the entire development lifecycle: from design and implementation to testing and release.
• Capability to debug issues across the entire stack, including mobile, network, and backend processes.
• Strong instincts for product development and a keen eye for user experience details.
