Software Engineer III, Internal Software

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications that support our internal platform.

• Take ownership of feature delivery from technical design through to deployment and post-release support.

• Work closely with Product Managers to clarify requirements and create practical technical solutions.

• Build and maintain backend services using PHP (Laravel/Lumen) or Python.

• Contribute to frontend functionality utilizing JavaScript as needed.

• Develop APIs and integrations with both internal and external systems.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Operate within AWS-based infrastructure and Git-based deployment workflows.

• Engage in structured code reviews and maintain engineering quality standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise.

• Participate in architectural discussions and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance efficiency and quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience in production settings.

• Demonstrated experience functioning at a mid-senior or senior individual contributor level, with accountability for feature delivery.

• Strong backend expertise in PHP (Laravel/Lumen) or Python.

• Comfortable contributing across the stack, including JavaScript-based frontend development.

• Experience in building and maintaining API-driven systems.

• Solid background in working with relational databases.

• Experience in deploying and supporting applications in cloud environments like AWS.

• Familiarity with containerized applications and CI/CD workflows.

• Capable of independently transitioning defined features from development readiness to deployed production systems.

• Strong collaborator, effectively working with Product and cross-functional teams.

• Comfortable working within a distributed team across various time zones.

• Open to leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

• Must have a functional laptop/PC, internet access, and a backup connection.
