Software Engineer II – Model Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Utilize industry-leading AI technologies to design, build, deploy, and maintain Model Serving infrastructure that enhances a top-tier Detection Engine.

• Take ownership of projects aimed at scaling our model serving and data processing services to accommodate traffic levels 10 times higher than our current capacity.

• Manage real-time and near real-time streaming pipelines, as well as online feature serving services.

• Work in close collaboration with Machine Learning Engineers and Data Science teams by synthesizing feedback, aligning it with strategic goals, and executing plans effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a comparable position, with practical expertise in developing data-centric solutions.

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing AI tools to enhance engineering outcomes through the discovery, design, implementation, and rollout of software systems.

• Experience in maintaining large-scale distributed systems on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with a strong understanding of best practices in cloud-oriented engineering.

• Familiarity with managing real-time and near real-time data pipelines or streaming services.

• Background in collaborating with distributed teams, with strong skills in asynchronous and written communication.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently in a dynamic environment. You can decompose complex problems into manageable tasks and iterate on solutions, balancing urgent needs with long-term scalability.

• Solid foundation in computer science principles, data structures, and performance optimization techniques.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
