Software Engineer II – Front End

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage user-facing applications utilizing Angular, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript, implementing designs based on Figma specifications with federal Design System components.

• Create and maintain end-to-end tests for UI workflows using Selenium and Cypress, contributing to the automated test coverage objectives for all new and updated code.

• Collaborate with the UX/Accessibility enabling team to ensure frontend implementations align with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

• Troubleshoot, enhance, and monitor operations across testing and production environments, engaging in CI/CD pipeline contributions as necessary.

• Engage in mandatory peer code reviews and uphold the four-eyes principle on all commits.

• Work alongside backend engineers, QA, and UX designers to deliver comprehensive features from story refinement through to production deployment.

• Participate in SAFe ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Contribute to the development of Design System components, aiding in the maintenance of consistency across program modules.

• Assist with on-call rotations as required and cultivate cross-functional knowledge through paired programming.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree.

• Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Angular for creating modern web applications.

• Experience in implementing UI designs from Figma or similar design tools.

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and their application to frontend development.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git/GitLab.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, QA, and design teams in an agile setting.
