This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +12 more states.
β’ Design, develop, and maintain the backend services that drive Spreetail's fulfillment operations, including inventory management, order processing, carrier integrations, and exception handling.
β’ Take ownership of the reliability and accuracy of the transactional systems that fulfillment center operations rely on every hour of every day.
β’ Lead the technical design within your team, influencing architecture decisions, establishing best practices, and maintaining high standards during code reviews.
β’ Identify and resolve systemic challenges: performance bottlenecks, data consistency issues, and fragile integrations. Quickly debug and address production problems, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
β’ Work closely with product managers and fulfillment center operations teams to convert operational needs into effective software designs. Mentor Software Engineers II and contribute to enhancing the overall engineering quality of the team.
β’ 2-4 years of professional software development experience with a strong emphasis on backend development. Extensive expertise in C# and the .NET ecosystem, including the ability to independently design, develop, and maintain production services while leading others in the same process.
β’ Knowledge of downstream machine learning pipelines (Python, dbt, Dagster); while you won't be responsible for them, collaboration will be necessary.
β’ Proficiency with SQL Server / PostgreSQL, as operational and transactional data is at the heart of everything this team creates.
β’ Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude Code for enhancing development workflows.
β’ Experience with AWS (primary), including EKS, S3, SQS, and EventBridge. Proficient in CI/CD practices using GitLab pipelines and containerized deployments. Experience with mobile Android development is a plus.
