Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Engage in the selection of modules, development of custom modules, theming, and integration patterns.

• Execute hands-on development in Drupal versions 8, 9, and 10.

• Create and sustain custom modules, themes, APIs, and integration solutions.

• Enhance site performance, caching strategies, and content delivery methods utilizing Acquia tools such as Varnish, Cloud Edge, and CDN.

• Set up and oversee Acquia Cloud, Site Factory, Acquia Search, and Lift/Personalization, as well as other DXP components.

• Work in collaboration with Acquia support and Technical Account Managers (TAMs) to address platform-level challenges.

• Design and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations, including decoupled and headless Drupal setups.

• Establish and sustain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate ongoing development and deployment.

• Create and evaluate for adherence to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards.

• Utilize contemporary front-end development methodologies in alignment with backend Drupal architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of practical experience in Drupal development, specifically with Drupal versions 8, 9, and 10.

• At least 4 years of experience in website design.

• A minimum of 3 years working with the Acquia Cloud Platform, Site Factory, and Acquia DXP tools.

• 3 years of expertise in PHP, Symfony, Composer, Drush, Git, and modern front-end technologies.

• 3 years of experience with RESTful APIs, integrations, and decoupled or headless Drupal.

• 3 years of knowledge in caching, performance optimization, and cloud hosting solutions.

• At least 3 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines (such as GitHub Actions, Acquia Pipelines, Jenkins, etc.).

• 2 years of experience in developing and/or testing for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), with a strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 (AA).
