• The individual will be tasked with configuring and delivering applications intended for client use.
• This person may support the development of process improvements under the mentorship of the Senior Software Engineer and the Technical Operations Manager.
• Duties will also encompass the daily upkeep of operational healthcare application systems, including identifying and troubleshooting application issues, resolving or escalating issues, conducting root cause analyses, and managing communication and client relationships in collaboration with Infrastructure Service Support team members.
• Prepare, transform, and structure data specific to clients according to the requirements set by Engagement and Product teams, ensuring compliance with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) guidelines.
• Design, create, and maintain baseline and customized messaging datasets (including categories, key messages, content, footnotes, and metadata) utilized across IVA client demonstrations, frameworks, and productions.
• Process and integrate data received from various third-party vendors per client, applying business rules and transformation guidelines to generate client-ready datasets.
• Act as the representative for the Data Operations / Data Engineering team on all active client and product initiatives.
• Engage in daily data operations and development stand-up meetings to discuss data readiness, defects, transformations, and deployments.
• Adhere to established change-management protocols for data updates, transformations, and environment promotions.
• Document and maintain data pipelines, transformation logic, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data.
• Create and update WIKI articles for reusable data processes, transformation patterns, and troubleshooting resources.
• Collaborate with Application Development, Product, and Front-End teams to optimize data structures, tags (BR, span, classes), and attributes for user interface rendering and configurability.
• Assist in executing data deployments across various environments (Development, UAT, Production) utilizing Octopus Deploy and controlled release processes.
• Oversee and validate data flows from Goliath servers to Core servers, ultimately integrating into Salesforce via stored procedures and Boomi ETL workflows.
• Set up and maintain data configurations for new client implementations, including environment-specific data variations and vendor inputs.
• Aid in the development and maintenance of automated data validation checks and regression test datasets to facilitate future testing initiatives.
• Measure and monitor data-related KPIs such as data quality metrics, transformation accuracy, defect leakage, re-processing rates, and turnaround times.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Platform teams to support the development of new data-driven features, enhancements, and messaging capabilities.
• Ensure that all data modifications comply with established lifecycle methodologies, auditability standards, and risk guidelines.
• Actively engage with end users, internal stakeholders, front-end developers, external vendors, data analysts, and Engagement teams to address data issues and foster continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the advancement of scalable, reusable data models and messaging frameworks across various products.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a data-focused role such as Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Application Support (Data), or in an ETL/Integration position.
• Proficient knowledge of SQL with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and data validation logic.
• Practical experience in data transformation and processing using SQL, scripting, or backend technologies (.NET / C#).
• Familiarity with relational databases, particularly SQL Server.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and sprint-based delivery processes.
• Experience managing data across multiple environments (Development, UAT, Production).
• Operational experience with Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server, Octopus Deploy, or equivalent tools.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, tags, and structured content to meet front-end rendering requirements.
• Exposure to concepts of continuous integration and deployment, especially regarding data pipelines.
• Experience with Salesforce or Veeva CRM data models is advantageous.
• Familiarity with US Healthcare or Market Access data concepts is a strong benefit.
• Understanding of Azure hosting components and data-related services.
• Capability to analyze and reconcile large datasets from various vendors and sources.
• Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, with overnight stays being up to 5% of the time.
