This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design, develop, and sustain scalable APIs, services, and data pipelines, primarily utilizing Python while leveraging microservices and cloud-native architectures.
• Create secure, high-performance, and maintainable system designs that are adaptable to the evolving needs of business and healthcare.
• Build web applications and dashboards (React/Next.js or similar) that showcase backend and AI functionalities for both internal and external users.
• Integrate and enhance LLM workflows, including prompt engineering, model orchestration, and backend/UX pipelines for intelligent healthcare applications.
• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, testing, CI/CD automation, observability, and performance tuning.
• Influence technology choices, frameworks, and best practices for software development.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers as well as offshore development teams.
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to foster continuous improvement.
• Provide technical documentation and architectural diagrams to support system enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management to outline technical requirements and roadmap initiatives.
• Work alongside UX/UI teams to ensure seamless and intuitive user experiences.
• Integrate backend APIs and microservices to facilitate efficient data exchange across platforms.
• Partner with data analytics teams to enhance performance and scalability.
• A minimum of 2 years of software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on backend development in Python (Node.js experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React/Next.js, Vue, or similar) to provide full-stack solutions.
• Practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and integrating AI models into production environments.
• Expertise in RESTful APIs, microservices, and database management (both SQL & NoSQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps methodologies (CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability).
• Understanding of healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA) is preferred; experience with distributed or offshore engineering teams is a plus.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
