Software Engineer – Data Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Analyze and create solutions to address the information needs within our organization.

• Design, develop, implement, and test new information and data processing applications in line with our quality standards.

• Conduct preventive maintenance, identify and implement enhancements, and refactor the existing codebase, including legacy applications.

• Monitor, respond to, and resolve incidents occurring in production.

• Develop and maintain the infrastructure that supports our applications in a production environment.

• Assist our internal staff and stakeholders with inquiries and issues related to the applications in use.

• Investigate and produce proofs of concepts, including the use of external services, APIs, programming libraries, and data source systems.

• Contribute to the creation of user guides and a knowledge base for the applications currently in use.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, utilizing any of the following programming languages: Ruby, Javascript, Python, and PHP.

• Expertise in developing scripts and applications for data ETL and reporting purposes.

• Proficient in standard software engineering practices (e.g., source code management, continuous integration, automated testing, pair programming).

• 2+ years of experience in comprehensive IT management.

• Proficient and hands-on experience with implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions.

• Experience with cloud services and APIs, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Administration and shell usage of Linux-based systems (CentOS, Ubuntu).

• Strong customer orientation with the ability to provide a positive experience in conflict resolution.

• Excellent communication abilities, capable of effectively conveying messages or knowledge to non-technical customers.

• Highly dependable and responsive, particularly in urgent or time-sensitive scenarios.

• Able to uphold a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
