Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Development of Executive Dashboards: Create, construct, and sustain analytical, managerial, and operational dashboards that prioritize clarity, performance, and user experience for senior leadership, including Vice Presidents and the international board in the payments and acquiring domain.

• UX/UI Implementation for Data Visualization: Design visually cohesive, intuitive, and usability-oriented dashboards that blend aesthetics, analytical transparency, and decision-making efficiency, minimizing cognitive load and expediting data analysis.

• Expertise in Financial KPIs: Convert and monitor essential financial metrics—such as revenue, margin, delinquency, risk, forecasting, and budget versus actual—into strategic visualizations that provide executive decision support with accuracy and context.

• Analytical Assessment and Deviation Identification: Proactively utilize analytical skills to uncover anomalies, deviations, and root causes within financial and operational data, foreseeing challenges and suggesting solutions ahead of leadership requests.

• Governance and Data Integrity: Guarantee traceability, consistency, validation, and auditability of the data presented in dashboards, ensuring that visualizations are supported by trustworthy information and adhere to organizational standards.

• Performance Optimization and Scalability: Enhance queries and dashboards to ensure optimal performance and scalability in environments handling significant volumes of financial and transaction data.

• Automation and Self-Service Data Analytics: Detect and automate manual reporting processes, developing self-service analytics solutions that empower business users to independently access and utilize data.

• Data Modeling and Consumption via Databricks: Leverage Databricks linked to the database as the main tool for data access and consumption, utilizing strong SQL and modeling expertise to construct consistent visualizations—without requiring transformations or migrations, which are managed by the engineering team.

• Development with Power BI: Build robust solutions in Power BI as the primary business intelligence tool, ensuring adherence to high technical standards, KPI standardization, and component reusability.

• Innovation and Ongoing Enhancement: Actively suggest creative visual solutions and consistently elevate the aesthetic and functional benchmarks of dashboards—initiating projects rather than simply responding to requests.

• Engagement with Executive Stakeholders: Directly interact with finance and executive leadership from our client to ascertain analytical needs, present findings, and convert business requirements into effective visualization solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in developing executive dashboards and data visualizations, showcasing expertise in Power BI.

• Proficient SQL skills and experience with data modeling for accessing, exploring, and verifying information in analytical settings.

• Familiarity with Databricks for data access and consumption connected to databases—an essential technical requirement.

• Understanding of financial KPIs (revenue, margin, delinquency, risk, forecast, budget versus actual) with the capability to convert them into strategic visual representations.

• Analytical capacity to identify anomalies, deviations, and root causes in financial and operational data, combined with a proactive problem-solving mindset.

• Senior-level profile exhibiting high autonomy, a consultative approach, and the ability to engage directly with executive leadership without intermediaries.

• Intermediate/Advanced English proficiency (B2 level or higher) for stakeholder interactions and technical discussions conducted in English.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Portfolio showcasing examples of developed dashboards that illustrate business impact (with sensitive data and client names appropriately masked).

• Familiarity with Tableau and/or Looker as additional visualization tools.

• Experience in report automation and constructing self-service analytics solutions.

• Knowledge of data security and compliance (LGPD/Brazilian data protection, access control, and management of sensitive information in the financial sector).

• Experience handling large data volumes in the context of financial transactions, payment methods, or acquiring.

• Certifications in BI tools or related data fields.

• Experience applying GenAI to dashboards and analytics, utilizing intelligent features for generating insights, summarizing information, facilitating natural language interactions, and supporting user-focused data exploration.
