Software Engineer, Compute

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Advocate for and implement engineering best practices across product engineering teams.

• Collaborate closely with product teams to design and construct scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient infrastructure systems that align with launch objectives, penetrate new markets, and adapt to product demand.

• Partner with other engineering teams to collaboratively execute complex initiatives.

• Create straightforward and elegant solutions to intricate problems.

• Engage in a solution stack that encompasses everything from intricate back-end data through web services to highly user-friendly web-based interfaces.

• Have a direct influence on system design, development methodologies, and implementation technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

• Over 2 years of experience as an infrastructure engineer, focusing on cloud-based infrastructure, online data storage, and infrastructure-as-code pipelines.

• Proficient in cloud-based infrastructure, with a solid understanding of modern networking concepts and experience in managing infrastructure through infrastructure-as-code practices.

• Familiarity with managing and scaling containerized software deployment systems, such as Kubernetes.

• Background in software development using one or more general-purpose programming languages, including Ruby, Go, Python, Java, etc.

• Experience working in dynamic, high-energy startup environments.

• Knowledge and expertise in software engineering best practices throughout the software development life cycle, including requirement gathering, design, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with users, technical teams, and management.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to thrive in a fully remote infrastructure engineering team setting.
