Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the software platform.

• Provide impactful customer-facing functionalities.

• Deliver high-quality code for production environments.

• Enhance system reliability, performance, scalability, and overall health.

• Maintain and expand existing .NET/C# legacy systems.

• Balance the pace of development with code quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

• Troubleshoot production systems and address technical challenges.

• Participate in system design and architecture with guidance.

• Identify areas for performance and system health improvements.

• Own features or services throughout the entire development lifecycle, from implementation to production.

• Engage in code reviews and uphold established engineering standards.

• Assist in modernizing legacy systems.

• Work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proven experience in building and deploying production systems.

• Practical experience in maintaining and extending established .NET/C# legacy systems.

• Familiarity with SQL Server as a primary database.

• Experience in developing and supporting software features for customers.

• Proficient in debugging production systems and resolving technical issues.

• Strong capabilities in .NET and C# development.

• Extensive experience with SQL Server in production software settings.

• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills with legacy systems and production challenges.

• Ability to produce production-quality software across both frontend and backend systems.

• Competence in balancing speed, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

• Capacity to contribute to system design and architecture with guidance.

• Willingness to take ownership of features or services from implementation to production.

• Experience with AI development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.

• Ability to clearly communicate progress and participate in code reviews and engineering standards.

• Availability to work from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST / U.S. business hours.

• Nice to have: Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, Vue/Nuxt, React/Next, or Node.js.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Shopify, BigCommerce, or Magento, and exposure to order logic and tracking events.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of logistics or shipping concepts, including dimensional sizing, customs, and duties.

• Nice to have: Understanding of fulfillment systems or processes.

• Nice to have: Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
