This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to grasp business requirements and convert them into impactful software solutions.
• Architect, implement, and manage scalable and dependable cloud infrastructure on AWS while ensuring adherence to SOC2, ISO27001, and TPN standards.
• Create and uphold web applications, guaranteeing a smooth user experience and compliance with design best practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs, libraries, services, and systems to bolster MASV's file transfer infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve technical challenges across the software stack, including cloud infrastructure, frontend web applications, and backend systems.
• Assist in the creation of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high code quality and efficient deployment.
• Keep abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and security trends to continually improve our software solutions.
• Partner with the engineering team to automate workflows and enhance deployment pipelines.
• Engage in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning meetings to uphold high standards of code quality and teamwork.
• Document software design, architecture, and processes to support knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
• Demonstrated experience as a Software Engineer, with expertise in frontend and/or backend development.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure, and best practices, with a preference for experience in AWS.
• Proficient in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Go, with familiarity in frontend frameworks (e.g., VueJS) and/or backend frameworks (e.g., Go, Express, Django).
• Awareness of networking concepts, security principles, and web protocols (e.g., TCP, TLS, HTTP).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling principles.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, agile development environment.
• Based in Canada, preferably within the Eastern Time Zone.
