Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop systems that power Lyrebird for thousands of clinicians.

• Implement features and enhance reliable, safe, and scalable systems.

• Collaborate with customers, engineering, product, and internal teams.

• Take ownership of challenges from initial scoping to shipping and support.

• Uphold best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and releases.

• Work across the stack using TypeScript/Svelte for the frontend and Node.js/SvelteKit for the backend.

• Build and improve tools and infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and the LLM stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering production-grade code.

• Extensive expertise in TypeScript for both frontend and backend development.

• Strong understanding of APIs, cloud infrastructure, and contemporary development practices.

• Familiarity with using Claude Code or other agentic coding assistants, along with an awareness of their limitations.

• Capacity to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

• Excellent communication skills and a builder's mindset.

• Nice to have: experience in healthcare, regulated environments, or ML/LLM tooling.

• Nice to have: experience in taking a software product from inception to launch in a highly regulated setting.

• Nice to have: experience in delivering solutions to large enterprise clients in alignment with product strategy.

• Nice to have: mastery of Claude Code or similar tools.

• Must clarify UK visa sponsorship status; Lyrebird is currently not registered to provide sponsorship.
