Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.

• Create RESTful APIs and microservices to integrate data from Oracle databases.

• Build front-end applications using Angular, NodeJs, and contemporary JavaScript libraries to improve user experience and support intricate workflows.

• Utilize Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Maven for work management and team collaboration.

• Conduct system administrative tasks, including vulnerability management, system patching, and ensuring adherence to security standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with over 8 years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with more than 6 years of experience.

• Must be a US Citizen; capable of obtaining a DoD Secret security clearance.

• Over 5 years of practical experience in web development, focusing on Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.

• Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases.

• Practical experience in front-end development using Angular, HTML, and CSS.

• Strong comprehension of build and CI/CD processes using Maven and Jenkins.

• A robust, self-driven desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

• Ability to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.

• Capacity to work and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
