Software Engineer – AI-Driven Billing Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain automated billing workflows within Salesforce, utilizing Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components, and various platform integrations.

• Architect and manage a continuously evolving Salesforce-initiated AI-driven pipeline that processes diagnostic test data as input and navigates the order through our revenue lifecycle, incorporating human intervention, partner APIs, and external systems when necessary.

• Convert billing requirements from Finance, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success into well-defined engineering deliverables with established SLAs, observability, and rollback procedures.

• Refine document extraction AI models with assistance from the Arteras AI team.

• Leverage AI Code-gen and other AI-enhanced development tools to expedite delivery, generating, reviewing, and refactoring Salesforce and Python code.

• Equip the billing pipeline with monitoring, alerting, and audit trails to ensure that failures, anomalies, and deviations are identified early and addressed without manual intervention whenever possible.

• Continuously assess pipeline performance and integrate feedback loops (rules, heuristics, and lightweight ML where suitable) to enhance the system's accuracy and autonomy over time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 2 years of professional software engineering experience in delivering and operating production systems.

• Required hands-on experience in Salesforce development, including Apex, Flow / Process Builder, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce REST/SOAP APIs.

• Proven experience in developing tools using Claude Code, such as creating internal automations, integration scaffolding, code generation pipelines, or developer tooling with Claude Code on actual projects.

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.

• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern Salesforce DX tooling.

• Ability to design systems for observability, including logging, metrics, alerting, and comprehensive traceability of billing transactions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of collaborating directly with Finance, Revenue Operations, and external vendor teams.
