Software Engineer 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborates and partners with fellow product team members (UX, engineering, and product management) to develop secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions.

• Documents, reviews, and ensures compliance with all quality and change control standards.

• Works alongside the Product Team to guarantee that user stories are developer-ready, comprehensible, and testable.

• Writes custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, and test scenarios.

• Develops custom code or scripts for destructive testing to verify adequate resiliency in production environments.

• Conducts program configuration, modification, and setup activities on large projects using approved HD methodologies.

• Configures commercial off-the-shelf solutions to adapt to evolving business requirements.

• Creates insightful dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses to ensure proactive identification and resolution of issues.

• Proactively seeks opportunities for growth and challenges through both formal and informal development channels.

• Collaborates with team members within agile processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.

• Proficient in writing SQL queries for relational databases.

• Familiarity with version control systems.

• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.

• Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.

• Experience with source code version control.

• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL database technologies.

• Experience with cloud computing techniques.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools.

• Experience with microservice-based architectures.

• Proficient in modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques.

• Exposure to security frameworks for user and service authorization and authentication.

• Experience in creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests.
