Software Development Engineer III, Java Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the design and execution of essential backend components. You will develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, guaranteeing high availability and superior performance.

• Work in close collaboration with the Bots & Automation team to design and construct a next-generation bot runtime platform.

• Build reliable, scalable, and high-performance services. Your role will necessitate a strong grasp of Computer Science fundamentals along with practical experience in developing large-scale distributed systems.

• Create and implement secure, scalable REST-based backend services.

• Act as a leader and mentor for fellow engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and ongoing improvement.

• Troubleshoot production issues, maintain existing codebases, and ensure the platform's stability. You will also participate in on-call rotations to support mission-critical services.

• Produce technical specifications, architecture documentation, and ensure all software adheres to stringent security standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithm Design.

• Proficient programming skills in Java, with a solid knowledge of multi-threading.

• Expert-level familiarity with Databases (SQL, NoSQL) such as Cassandra and MySQL.

• Experience with Data Processing frameworks including Kafka, Airflow, Apache Spark, and Hadoop.

• Proven experience in building REST APIs and debugging distributed microservice-based applications.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in using Git, Jenkins, and other Development tools.

• Experience with NodeJS and Python is an advantage.

• Cloud expertise in either Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
