Senior .NET Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Engage in the development of software plans and strategies.

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable, high-performance software applications.

• Collaborate with a team to write specific sections of the program.

• Integrate all components of the program design and conduct testing to ensure sample data sets produce the desired output.

• Produce clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices.

• Enhance and optimize the performance of current software.

• Suggest enhancements to existing software applications when needed.

• Work alongside architects, product managers, and other developers to establish technical requirements and system architecture.

• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and uphold coding standards.

• Design and manage RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-based solutions.

• Improve application performance, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.

• Implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines, facilitating smooth deployments and automation.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum development teams, engaging in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

• Must possess experience in developing and executing algorithms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust security clearance.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for client-facing roles, documentation, and reporting obligations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with eight (8)+ years of software development experience.

• Eight years of additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of education.

• Strong expertise in developing solutions using programming languages such as .NET (backend development), Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.

• Experience with X.12 Medical Claims Processing (835, 837, 277, 275, etc.).

• Familiarity with back-end development, including modern frameworks (e.g., .NET).

• Proficient in database management (SQL, RBS, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases).

• Comprehensive knowledge of AWS and/or MS Azure cloud platforms and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience in RESTful API development, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).

• Preferred experience working with GitHub Co-pilot.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging capabilities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills are preferred.

• Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.

• Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD practices.

• Experience with software configuration management tools such as Git, Subversion, and Jira.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

• Experience utilizing Jira for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

• Ability to create logical and functional software code across various languages, with .NET and Python as primary languages.

• Experience in understanding and conveying the benefits and risks associated with different coding languages in varied functional settings.

• Proven ability to respond to issues and rectify programs as necessary.

• Experience thriving in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.

• Demonstrated capability to design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions.
