This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborates with the Peraton team and the client to identify specific requirements for new or improved application features.
• Provides remote support for the program.
• Adheres to general, high-level guidance while migrating and modernizing application code within a new government cloud solution.
• Aids in the detailed design of new application features.
• Utilizes Visual Studio for developing and testing new code functionalities.
• Coordinates with other teams to understand and integrate separately developed functionalities into the software.
• Possesses a DevSecOps toolset (e.g., Jira/Git/Confluence) for planning, managing work, documentation, and code handling.
• Assists in configuring CI/CD pipelines within the DevSecOps framework and employs them to deploy the application to testing environments.
• Supports integration and regression testing for the finalized application.
• Facilitates demonstrations and verification testing of application functionalities.
• Adheres to relevant government directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria related to software and data security.
• Aids in the configuration of DevSecOps processes and utilizes them for managing tasks and deliverables.
• Employs Visual Studio and .Net Core MVC, Razor Pages, C#, JavaScript, JSON, TypeScript, SQL Server, and other technologies to redevelop and integrate the software application within the assigned government cloud environment.
• Establishes and utilizes continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing and deployment of software application changes.
• Develops and executes test cases to confirm all required application functionalities.
• Leverages cloud services and other selected technologies to test and scan the application for compliance with security standards.
• Prepares the testing environment and database for demonstration and verification testing of the application.
• Assists in capturing and managing observations/results.
• Consults with solution owners to plan and coordinate necessary software and environment changes to improve integration and functionality.
• 16 years of experience with a High School diploma; 14 years with an Associate's degree; 12 years with a Bachelor's degree; 10 years with a Master's degree; 7 years with a PhD.
• Must be able to obtain an Active Secret clearance.
• Capable of working remotely.
• Certification in Security+ is required within 30 days of hire.
• Direct hands-on experience in developing software applications for clients using .Net, C#, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, TypeScript, Razor, SQL Server, and Git.
• Experience with cloud-based DevSecOps tool suites such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab, as well as test management, is an advantage.
• Familiarity with managing, maintaining, testing, and deploying software applications in a government cloud environment is a plus.
• Experience with application containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
