This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Ensuring precise reporting of vendor compliance.
• Developing optimized vendor licensing positions.
• Collaborating with Data Analysts to accurately identify software products discovered within the hardware estate.
• Recognizing opportunities to minimize licensing costs across all of Capita & Clients to achieve savings.
• Processing Proof of Entitlement to manually align with applications when automatic reconciliation is not feasible.
• Reviewing and importing new purchase data from third-party systems.
• Enhancing and refining SAM lifecycle processes.
• Qualifying and verifying all data sources necessary for SAM processing.
• Analyzing market changes and evaluating their impact on vendor licensing.
• Proven experience in delivering precise and effective license reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of complex licensing for at least one major Tier-1 vendor (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP) - ideally covering multiple vendors.
• Demonstrated experience with end-to-end processes for major vendor audits.
• Ability to quickly adapt - this role requires someone who is already experienced in hands-on licensing compliance.
• Knowledge of modern and emerging technologies along with their licensing implications.
• Comfortable collaborating with technical teams (Architects, Analysts, Consultants).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex licensing issues.
• SC Cleared or eligible to obtain SC clearance.
• IT background with experience in IT Asset Management / Software Asset Management environments.
• Hands-on experience with SAM tools, preferably Snow or Flexera.
• Understanding of End User Computing (EUC), infrastructure, and cloud technology domains.
• Ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex licensing positions.
• IAITAM or equivalent SAM certifications.
