Software Architect – L6

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Establish and convey a long-term architectural vision, ensuring alignment among teams and leadership throughout Twilio.

• Oversee architecture reviews across products, standardize engineering practices, and promote essential technical investments.

• Address the most intricate and ambiguous technical challenges at both platform and company-wide levels.

• Mentor and support principal and staff engineers, cultivating a culture of engineering excellence and ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and executive leaders to influence strategic direction and technical investments.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in designing and scaling distributed systems and platforms.

• Proven ability to establish technical vision and strategy at an enterprise or company-wide level.

• Proficiency in system design, reliability, scalability, security, and cost optimization for large-scale architectures.

• Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and tackling highly complex, ambiguous technical challenges.

• Documented success in mentoring senior engineering talent and enhancing organizational standards.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication, influence, and leadership capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
